What ages is this for?

The Compass of Curio City is designed for children ages 4-10. The reading level is 3rd grade, making it perfect for emerging readers. Younger children may need help with writing responses, while older kids can participate independently.

How does the interactive storytelling work?

Each month, you receive a beautifully illustrated chapter in the mail. At the end of each chapter, there are creative writing prompts asking to help shape what happens next. We provide a pre-addressed, stamped envelope and response paper so it can easily be mailed back. We then use their responses to craft the next personalized chapter just for them.


How long does it take to receive the next personalized chapter?

After we receive the responses, we try to send the next chapter within a few weeks so you receive a chapter about once a month.

What if responses aren't sent back?


No worries! If we don't receive responses by a certain date, we'll send a beautifully crafted default chapter that still maintains the story flow. Young readers can jump back into personalizing at any time.

Can multiple children share one subscription?

Each subscription is designed for one child to ensure personalized storytelling. However, siblings often enjoy reading the chapters together! For multiple children, we recommend separate subscriptions so each gets their own unique adventure.

Is the content family-friendly?
